About project
Main goal of the project is digital transformation of the city’s public transportation system. We kicked off the project with a strategy workshop, focusing on two key questions:
How can we design an intuitive experience to help newcomers easily navigate the network and plan safe trips?
How can we create a seamless cashless payment system for the entire city?
From there, we mapped the full rider journey and developed an ADA/PCI-compliant front-end optimized for tablets and smartphones. The new portal centralizes transit information in a context-driven format tailored to each user’s profile and needs.
The redesigned platform has been widely praised by end-users for being “fast,” “user-friendly,” and providing all necessary information at a glance. Its intuitive interface and improved user flow have eliminated complaints to the public transportation authority, while significantly reducing help desk calls and lowering operational costs.
Additionally, simplified online fare purchasing options including contactless and keycard payments enhance security and convenience. The transportation authority now has access to more accurate data for informed decision-making, further streamlining operations and cutting costs.
